Matsubayashi Shorin-Ryu Karate

History

Matsubayshi Shorin-Ryu Karate was founded by Shoshin Nagamine in 1947.

1962 — Gary Tiktin, a student of Nagamine, starts the American Karate Federation.

1972 — Kurt Christensen moves from Iowa Dojo and opens Madison, WI dojo. He has taught thousands of students over the years.

1982 — Dennis Williams started karate classes in Madison and has trained continuously in Shorin-Ryu. He also has Shodan's in other styles.

I am very grateful to all of the teachers and students that I have trained with over the years.
